Vertebrorevitology is a Method of correction of backbone based on optimization of conditions for activation of reparative response of degenerating intervertebral disc complicated by the extrusion of pulpal nucleus to its full restitution.
This Method was created by doctor Igor Mykhailovych Danilov 15 years ago as an alternative to surgical methods of treatment of degenerative and dystrophic diseases of backbone such as protrusions and herniations of intervertebral discs. In the following years the method has been successfully developped and that can be proved by the objective results presented on the next pages. At present the method is patented in Switzerland in the Russian Federation, and in Ukraine .
The idea of the Method applied by the clinic is to use natural non-aggressive methods of treatment. It meets in the best way the tendencies of the modern progressive medicine that first of all consist of activization of reserves of the patient's organizm.
The method consists of gradual building of certain biomechanical structure of spinal column to help to activate reparation processes of intervertebral discs, affected by degenerative process. With building of such structure reacts on muscles and ligaments in a certain way. Joints maintain the mobility and it is important that such new position firmly anchors by ligamentary response, it meant that they remain in this position for a long time after session. In accordance, vertebrae’s change position, creating resistance to usual stress. Thus, for the time, necessary for regeneration of the disc, it reduces the load on damaged disc, maintaining the natural locomotive activity of a person with some adjustments.
If to translate info English the notion of «vertebrorevitology», it means «a science, which gives the second life (restores the health) of backbone». Vertebrorevitology includes a few patented methods providing treatment of degenerative and dystrophic diseases of backbone, as well as postoperative recurrences of extrusion of pulpal nucleus (disc prolapse). These methods were invented and successfully implemented into the medical practice by academician Igor Mykhailovych Danilov. At present vertebrorevitology is the only real progressive step in vertebrology (science about backbone) focused on the treatment of degenerative disc diseases of the spine.
It was considered almost impossible not only to cure degenerative disease of the spine but even to suspend the development of this pathology. Indeed, it can't be cured by pharmacotherapy and physiotherapy methods. While traction and other physical manipulations, including manual therapy, not only show no restorative effect, but even stimulate quicker progress of the given pathology. Unfortunately, that's true.
Therefore it becomes clear why UNESCO considers research and treatment of all forms of disfunction of locomotor apparatus as the most important sphere of medicine, and decade from 2001 to 2010 is declared a decade of surgery. To put it simple, as degenerative disc diseases can't be cured by conservative methods of treatment, UNESCO gave the priority to development of surgery. But surgical treatment of degenerative disease doesn't remove the pathogenetic reason of degeneration of intervertebral disc and is by itself a destructive method of treatment, followed by different complications, as well as by recurrences of intervertebral disc prolapses.
Vertebrorevitology solves such problems:
